Well, hello there, Queenager!
It is so lovely that you’ve landed here. Flucking Flourishing is a place where I can be my glorious midlife self—and you can be too!
I’m the woman who built a sauna in the snow, grabbed a mic mid-forties, and realised midlife isn’t over—it’s only just begun.
Once upon a time, I painted my days in everyone else’s colours: teacher, mother, dutiful partner. I’d forgotten what my canvas even looked like. I dabbled. Splashed some paint here and there. But was more like a weak water colour than a strong, vibrant gauche.
Then came the Great Flucking Awakening. I stopped dyeing my hair. Picked up a pen. Joined a rock band. Gave fewer flucks. And started Flucking Flourishing—because someone needed to model the wild, playful, soulful way through the middle of life.
This space?
It’s not self-help. It’s self‑coming-home.
A place for the misfits, the midlife magic-makers, the women who’ve played the roles and are now writing their own damn scripts.
I share:
Pep talks that hit like a wise friend and a stiff drink.
Midlife musings about motherhood, menopause, and magic.
Poetry that doesn’t rhyme (usually).
Mini-courses and creative nudges for paid members.
Fluck Yeah Friday—my weekly “I showed up on camera again” moment where I wax lyrical on joy, fear, growth, and maybe a little rage.
This isn’t a one-way monologue. This is a Queenager circle. A rebellion of gentle strength, playful power, and real-ass support. And you’re in it now.
Let me ask you this:
Have you ever felt like pieces of yourself got packed away for convenience, for kids, for safety?
Have you ever whispered, “I used to love drawing... writing... dancing... dreaming...”?
You’re not too late. You’re right on flucking time.
Stick around for the free ride—there’s heaps to enjoy.

Oh, I'm loving this 😆 So much of it resonates with me: also a Queenager (next month I'll be 59 summers of age).
Loving the wisdom I've collected through each cycle of the sun, moon and stars.
Do you still live in Finland? I'm a Brit (also an English teacher) living in Denmark and having two and a half languages to my name.
So, I decided to subscribe, and now I'm going to have a little look around on your newsletter shelf 😄
Don’t think I’d read your intro before. Loving the attitude and, obviously, the hat.
